1. where you sourced the replacement for the the honeycombe plastic Including the the red H

2. assuming you can retrofit it to the older grill?

Evening Rod,

1. The mesh can be sourced from B&Q or Halfrauds for around £25.

2. The front and rear Honda badges are from a face-lift ATR and they can be fitted to the pre-facelift. Only issue is that the outline from where the chrome H sits on the pre-facelift can be clearly seen when you fit the new one . . . but only on close inspection

Car looks great mate. With other in saying the wheels and rocker covers are looking well smart. Car defies its age from the pictures. Wish mine was like that before children and lack of time took over my life. However, on saying this - I am determined to revive my old girl again ;-)

Many thanks mate, I have replied to your PM.

I've had to replace a broken spring and the passenger side handbrake cable is getting replaced this week also. Keeping these older cars running requires some time and patience but the rewards are great.

You just have to keep telling yourself that's it's now an 11 year old car so things are going to go wrong and components will start to rust and wear out . . . can't be avoided

I've got to ask.....

How did you get the tail pipes so shiny? Would wet and dry not abrade too much? I've used Meguirs metal polish before but it cant cope with light salt pitting, any suggestions?

Ta.
I'm obviously getting old, I don't do drugs anymore, I get the same effect by standing up too fast.

The tail pipes on the Accord are alloy, so a fine wet & dry ( soaked in water over night ) would do it no harm. I went as low as 400 grit as it was badly pitted, finishing off with 2000 grit.

Finish off with a good metal polish and all is well.
